Keto Tortillas - so easy (no cheese or eggs!)



Keto Tortillas 


Here is a great recipe for keto tortillas that are so fast and easy to make, and they don’t contain eggs and cheese like  other keto bread substitute

Ingredients

2 cups almond flour

6 tablespoons psyllium husks *

1 cup of hot water, not boiling

1 teaspoon of salt

1 tablespoon of olive oil


* do not use psyllium husk powder.

Directions

Whisk the psyllium, husks and almond flour and salt in a bowl

Add the hot water and olive oil and stir with a dough whisk

Shape into a log and cut into eighths


Press with a tortilla press like you would traditional masa tortillas


Heat a cast-iron skillet on medium, wiped with a very fine oil. You will not need to have any more oil after this.

Press, tortilla and place on the hot cast-iron pan  

It will take about a minute or a minute and a half for it to slightly brown. Flip and it will take another minute to a minute and a half.


I make a double batch of these and store these in the refrigerator, like you would any other tortilla.


These are delicious toasted with butter and a little salt. Use it as a taco shell or as a wrap for almost anything. It’s Great to satisfy that bread, craving or tortilla craving when you’re eating keto




I like to press mine on the thicker side. You can press them as thin as you want
